Weekly Shopping List for 2010-07-18

Meat:
  • 2 lbs loin lamb chops, approximately 6 chops
  • 1 lb beef top round
  • 2 wholes chicken breasts
  • 2 shrimps and/or prawns per portion
  • 4 small clams and/or mussels per portion
  • 1 piece chicken, such as a thigh, per person

 

Produce:
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 19 clove garlic
  • 1 can of fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 1 homemade guacamole
  • 1 small onion
  • 4 onions
  • 1 serrano or jalapeno pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 large eggplant
  • 1 lime
  • 6 medium-sizeds tomatoes
  • 1 lb jumbo sweet onion
  • 1 large red capsicum (pepper)
  • 3 red chiles long, orserrano chiles
  • 1 vegetable such as red piquillo or moron peppers, peas, green beans and/or artichoke hearts
  • 12 ripes olives
  • 1 x 4 oz can green chiles
  • 4 portobello mushroom caps (1 1/2 lbs.)
  • 1 x 13 oz can tomatillos
  • 2 red peppers
  • 4 radishes
  • 1 x 15 oz can of black beans

 

Pantry:

  • 1 bottle of Asion fish sauce
  • 1 bottle of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 bottle of vegetable oil
  • 1 x 5 lb bag of Sugar
  • 1 box of chicken stock
  • 1 box of fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 box of brown sugar
  • 1 bottle of soy sauce
  • 1 can of lard
  • 1 bottle of dry white wine

 

Dairy & Poultry:
  • 4 ozs cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tub of sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 carton of whipping cream
  • 4 ozs Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small block of Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cups salted ricotta or pecorino


Seasoning, Spices & Herbs:

  • 1 bottle of ground cumin
  • 1 canister of Kosher or Sea Salt
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 grinder full of black pepper corn
  • 1 bottle of hot sauce such as Tapatio or Tabasco
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 8 wholes peppercorns
  • 5 threads of saffron per person
  • 1 bunch fresh italian parsley
  • 1 large bunch of basil leaves
  • 1 bottle of chili powder
  • 2 inches of fresh ginger
  • 1 bottle of chili flakes
  • 1 bottle of Spanish style chorizo
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 bottle of s weet or bittersweet pimenton

 

Baked Goods & Grains:

  • 1/2 cups uncooked rice per person
  • 14 ozs dried penne or other pasta shapes
  • 8 corns tortillas
  • 4 kaiser rolls
