Weekly Shopping List for 2010-03-14
Meat:
- 3 lbs chicken pieces
- 4 x 4 ozs fillets of halibut, sea bass, or cod
- 3 ounces thinly sliced salami (approx. 12 slices)
- 1 (your choice in size) Corned beef brisket
- 2 lbs lean lamb of leg
- 1 lb hot or sweet Italian fennel sausage, casings removed
Produce:
- 1 lime for juice
- 1 lime
- 2 medium green cabbage
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 red onion
- 1 small bunch of scallions
- 2 carrots
- 1 large onion
- 1 package frozen tiny peas (petits pois)
- 2 oranges
- 10 smalls potatoes
- 1 blood orange
- 1 lemon
Pantry:
- 1 box of brown sugar
- 1 5 lb bag of Sugar
- 1 box of baking powder
- 1 bottle of seasoned rice wine vinegar
- 1 bottle of extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 jar of capers
- 1 bottle of corn or other light oil
- 1 x 28 ozs can tomato puree
- 1 bottle of sesame seeds
- 1 5 lb bag of flour
- 4 cups water, apple juice or beef broth(*for slow cooking corn beef)
- 1 jar of roasted bell peppers
Dairy & Poultry:
- 1 large tub of creamy ricotta
- 1/2 dozen large eggs
- 1/2 lbs fresh mozzarella
- 1 tub of finely grated Parmesan (or grate your own)
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 1 tub of freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (or grate your own)
- 1 large tub of low fat plain yogurt
- 4 ounces thinly sliced provolone (approx. 12 slices)
- 1 box of butter
Seasonings & Herbs:
- 1 small bunch of fresh cilantro
- 1 canister of Kosher of Sea Salt
- 1 Serrano Chili
- 1 pepper grinder filled with black peppercorns.
- 1 small bunch of basil
- 1 small bunch of mint leaves
- 12 cloves of garlic
- 2 inches of fresh ginger
- 1 jar of paprika
- 1 can of dried mustard
- 1 bottle of hot pepper sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 box of Ancho or New Mexico chili powder
- 1 jar of curry powder
- 1 jar of ground fennel
Baked Goods & Grains:
- 1/2 lbs spaghetti (or any other type of pasta), broken into 2-inch lengths
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 4 x 10 inch flour or corn tortillas lightly grilled
- 1 pound pizza dough
